About me

By nature a smiley, curious, big-hearted plant lover, my daily life involves gardening, medicine making, consulting, learning, expanding, and sharing in the beautiful state of Oaxaca, in southeast Mexico.

By training, I am a Naturopath, Nutritional Therapist, Herbalist, Flower Essence Therapist, and Energy Worker.

When I was young, there was nothing more soothing, exciting and wonderful for me than to be outside barefoot, in the grass or the woods, running around the farm or trails at summer camp or just lying on my favorite hidden sit spot, looking up at the clouds. I have always been amazed and comforted by the beauty and magic of our natural world.

In my early twenties, due to the accumulation of some difficult and traumatic emotional experiences, I developed what is known as an auto-immune disease, labeled Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. It was the blessing of this dis-ease that led me to take the first steps along my own personal healing journey. During that time I ‘accidentally’ found my true passion and purpose in life, working as a Naturopath and sharing with others as they travel their own winding paths through life. Thanks to the healing power of nature and my personal commitment to health, I am now fully recovered, much to the confusion of doctors who told me I would be taking medication for the rest of my life.

I had the great pleasure of earning my diplomas at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London, England, where I also had the joyful experience of working as a lecturer and clinic supervisor.

When I left England, I moved to central Mexico where I had the amazing good fortune to meet my mentor, Alison Bastien, with whom I apprenticed on-site for two years and continue to work with closely. This is when my practice moved in the organic direction towards that which is known as ‘Plant Spirit Medicine’. I learned how to connect more deeply with the plant world, becoming a humble full-time student of nature.

Here in Oaxaca, I am learning from the native plants, watching my herb garden flourish, and making remedies in my ‘alchemy studio’ (aka my kitchen.) Every single day I work with and study plant medicine and the healing arts which is the true passion and joy of my heart as well as my profession. I consider it to be an incredible honor and blessing to do this work and offer service in the world.
